As the new semester begins, it is the perfect time to recharge through reading. To help students and staff discover books that suit their interests and needs, the Library proudly presents the 2026 International Book Fair at CityUHK (DG) from September 3 to 5, offering a carefully curated and enjoyable reading experience for the entire university community. The 2026 International Book Fair of CityUHK (DG) co-hosted by two suppliers of foreign-language books, China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNPIEC) and Sino-Commercial Trading Ltd., the fair brings together more than 6,000 original-edition foreign-language titles on campus.

CNPIEC focuses on high‑level academic works in 10 core disciplines – Materials Science, Computer Science, AI, Smart Manufacturing, Energy, Life Sciences, Big Data, Ecology, Economics & Management, and more. All sourced from top publishers like Elsevier, Wiley, Springer Nature, Oxford University Press, and Cambridge University Press, perfect for undergraduates, postgraduates, and faculty alike. Sino-Commercial Trading Ltd. offers a strong selection of titles in literature, history, philosophy, sociology, psychology, the arts, and interdisciplinary studies. With titles from Penguin Random House, Rizzoli, Manning, and more, these books broaden your intellectual and aesthetic horizons. An exclusive mini‑program will be provided for browsing titles and submitting purchase requests online.

The fair offers special treats to make your reading journey warmer and more personal. CNPIEC presents an AI Mood Library that uses multimodal emotion recognition to detect your mood and reading needs, and instantly generates a personalized booklist. Pick a book on‑site and get a free souvenir inspired by classic dim sum (shrimp dumplings, BBQ buns, siu mai, etc.), adding a touch of Dongguan!

Participation: In person
Borrowing Info: Once a book you requested at the fair has been processed, the Library will send you an email notification. After receiving the notice, you may borrow the book from the 2nd floor service desk of the library.
Reminders
Register the book's ISBN, your student/staff ID, and contact info when recommending. The library will notify you when the book is ready.
If the same book is requested by multiple users, only the first submitter will receive priority notification.
Reserved books are kept for you September 7–13, 2026. Please pick up books on time after receive the email notification. Unclaimed copies will be placed on the open shelves for general circulation after the deadline.
