To promote academic exchanges in the discipline, help faculty and students grasp the cutting-edge trends in Bioinformatics and Intelligent Computing, and broaden research horizons, City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) invites Prof.Yi Pan from Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology to deliver a distinguished lecture entitled "Current Status and Future Breakthroughs of General AI Large  Models" during the the 6th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Intelligent Computing. Prof. Yi Pan is currently Dean and Chair Professor of the College of Computer Science and Control Engineering at Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology. He is a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), a Foreign Fellow of the Russian and Ukrainian Academies of Engineering, and a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts as well as the Royal Society for Public Health (UK). Additionally, he holds the title of National Specially Recruited Expert and is recognized as a high-level national talent.

His research focuses on bioinformatics and medical informatics, with a particular emphasis on cloud computing, big data analytics, artificial intelligence and deep learning. He has designed and developed numerous bioinformatics algorithms and tools that have significantly advanced the biological and medical sciences.  Prof. Yi  Pan has been listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists and the World’s Top 1000 Computer Scientists, and is recognized as an IEEE Distinguished Speaker.
