To strictly implement the requirements of the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Effectively Conducting 2026 Laboratory Safety Work in Institutions of Higher Education, further strengthen and consolidate laboratory safety responsibilities, comprehensively identify and rectify potential safety hazards, resolutely prevent all types of safety accidents, and effectively safeguard the order of teaching and research as well as the personal and property safety of teachers and students, on May 14, 2026, the university launched a special laboratory safety inspection jointly organized by three departments: Laboratory and Equipment Management Office (LEMO), Campus Development Office (CDO), and Safety, Health and Environment Office (SHEO).

The inspection covered all key sites across the university, including teaching laboratories, research laboratories, training venues, and temporary storage areas for hazardous chemicals, adhering to the principle of “no room left unchecked, no blind spot left uncovered” to achieve full coverage of safety inspections.

During the on-site inspection, the joint inspection team conducted field visits, document verification, and equipment checks room by room. All identified potential hazards were recorded on the spot, reported immediately, and assigned with clear rectification deadlines, promoting a full closed-loop management system: “Identification → Assignment → Rectification → Closure”.

This joint special inspection served as a comprehensive “physical examination” and “clean-up” of the university’s laboratory safety management. It further consolidated the primary safety responsibilities, strengthened the safety awareness of all staff, and addressed shortcomings in risk prevention and control.

Moving forward, the university will publicly release the inspection results, continuously follow up on rectification, and improve a normalized and refined laboratory safety management system. The university will ensure high-level safety to support the high-quality development of its teaching and research endeavors.
